Virtual Event: 2025 Political Intel and Power Building

A discussion on the political landscape, possible 2025 legislation, and organizing in the post-election reality.

Last week we launched Prosperity California, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the notes of support and feedback we’ve received so far. As we’ve said before, big change requires big power and we’re proud to be building that political power with you.

In that spirit, we’re excited to invite you to our first virtual event on December 9th at 12 PM centered on 2025 Political Intel and Power Building. This will be a chance for all of us to come together for the real talk needed ahead of 2025.

Graciela Castillo-Krings from Sacramento Advocates and Melissa Breach, Prosperity California’s CEO, will discuss California election results, the 2025 budget realities, what we know, and don’t know about the pro-housing and climate advocacy landscape in 2025-2026, and how Prosperity California is gearing up for next year. We’ll also provide an update on Governor Newsom’s special session—can you make it? Details and more info below:

This event will be a fun, intimate peek behind the curtain of how Sacramento will be approaching climate, housing, and economic opportunity next year, and a discussion on how organizations and activists can make the most of this moment.

Bring your questions, hot takes, and spicy ideas—it’s all fair game.

From the new 25-member YIMBY caucus in Congress at the federal level to how Governor Newsom and State lawmakers plan to respond to Trump’s incoming administration, there isn’t a shortage of critical items to discuss.

We hope to see you there—and if you can’t make it, RSVP anyway so we know to send you the recording!
